Hospice Neck Pillow and Hand Pillow Instructions Instructions

The Hospice Hand Pillow is used by Hospice patients to hold in their hands.  It is recommended to use cotton fabric.  Add 1/2″ seam allowance to the pattern and cut out 2 pieces.  Sew around the edges of the pillow leaving enough room to stuff the pillow with stuffing.  Just stuff enough stuffing to make the pillow comfortable for the patient to hold in their hand.  Then sew up the opening.

The Hospice Neck Pillow is used by Hospice patients to give them comfort.  The neck pillow will help the patient to sit in a chair.  It is recommended to use cotton fabric and a ½” seam allowance.

Place the pattern on the fold of the fabric as noted on the pattern.  Match the grainline of the 2 pattern pieces to get a single pattern piece.  Cut 2 pieces.  Be sure to add a ½” seam allowance to the pattern.  Sew around the pillow leaving about a 3–4-inch opening to stuff the pillow.  The amount of stuffing is to make this a comfortable pillow.  Sew up the opening with your machine or hand sew.  It is your choice.
