As years went on, our Dayton Ohio ASG Chapter expanded our community projects servicing Hospice giving patients needed pillows. We connected with Blue Star Mothers sewing Christmas Stockings for our US troops. The Dayton Ohio ASG Chapter added sewing new baby items for expecting mothers through a community baby shower. We have serviced Hannah’s Treasure Chest with blankets, teddy bears, and made knit hats. For the Miami Valley Cancer Center “anti-ouch” pouches were sewn for women fighting breast cancer along with blouses and neck scarves for Clothes that Work. In addition to these services, our Dayton Ohio ASG Chapter supplies the Beavercreek Baptist Church with Wee Warren Teddy Bears that we sew for the church’s Operation Christmas Child gift boxes. Our Dayton Ohio Chapter of the American Sewing Guild is very proud to say that we have accomplished a lot.
The Dayton Ohio Chapter of the American Sewing Guild continues to grow and we are now an organization of 60+ members with a variety of interest in sewing. The Chapter is guided by our Chapter Advisory Board (CAB) which is made up of officers.
Since the Stitching Post has closed, the Dayton Ohio ASG Chapter holds its meetings at the Beavercreek Baptist Church in Beavercreek, Ohio.
